Anger Management

Just watched Anger Management last night. It was pretty funny. It also confirmed my suspicion that Heather Graham is the worst actress in show business right now. Austin Powers II started me thinking that way and now I'm sure. I mean, can you think of a worse actress? She was stiff, boring and thoroughly un-charming.

BTW, I'm pretty sure the cryptic answer from before was TREE SURGEON, although I don't really know why. But it fits with every cross letter.

Cryptic Crossword clue & Mulroney

First things first. I'm stuck and need help. The clue for 17 across in the Times crossword in the November 19, 2005 Vancouver Sun is "Employment for lime production, perhaps, or getting rid of ashes? (4,8)"

So far I have T_e_ S_r_e_ _ _

I'm thinking TREE something. The lower case letters are written "lightly", meaning I'm not 100% sure of them. Here's my reasoning, ash is a type of tree, so getting rid of ashes would be TREE [insert verb here]. Lime is a type of tree, so employment for lime production could be TREE [insert verb here]. The last word probably ends in ING. I don't know, the more I think of it the more wrong it seems.

Hey, did anybody watch The Secret Mulroney Tapes last night? It was really interesting, but it wasn't as damning as I expected. Mulroney actually came off looking fairly good. Don't think for a second he's the only prime minister with an inflated ego. You can hear in his voice that he really cared though. Although he does show signs of having an adulation complex. I'm not a huge fan of his, but to be fair the country's collective memory of him is too negative and doesn't give enough weight to his accomplishments.

Question: Did Peter C. Newman overstep his bounds by releasing those tapes?
